31 weeks and 4 days!

31 weeks and 4 days!
I think it's the white tank top that makes me look huge- the picture on the bottom of this post was taken about 2 hours prior and I look nowhere near this big.

I'm up 20lbs.
I feel pretty great!

It's really crunch time for preparing things for the birth and postpartum- I don't want to get overwhelmed, so I'm taking it one step at a time! This week, I ordered some nursing pads and mama cloth!

I bought some organic cotton nursing pads!
These things are fantastic- reusable, three sets for $10

I still have my nursing bras from when Jackson was younger, so that will save a bit of money. Just wish I hadn't lost my nursing pads- I had quite a few!

Mama Cloth!
If you haven't tried it, I suggest it!

Organic cotton on top

Fleece on the bottom
(yes, guitars... I'm cool!)

They snap on the wings to hold them in place!
Very cool!

I bought a few of them when I was trying to get pregnant with Finn, thought they were fantastic, so now I'm making sure I have a good supply for those first few weeks postpartum.

A front picture from 31 and a half weeks!
Props to my friend Kristin for picking out this fantastic Threadless top for me for my birthday this year! I've worn it a few times, but this is the first time I've remembered to take a photo from the front :)

28 weeks!

28 weeks!
woohoo :)

I told Tim the other day how excited I was about being mostly belly-
(with Keelin, my butt got HUGE and with Jackson, I had to special order bras- neither one of those scenarios excite me)
and the man, who clearly must not value his bodily integrity very much said, "Well, actually... with your hair pulled back, your face looks big."

Thank you, husband, for telling me that I have a fat, pregnant face!
:)

With 12 weeks to go, I have gained 17 pounds.
My next appointment with our midwife is in 5 days!
Other than a little bit of hip pain, I feel pretty good.
The little one is wedged in my right side with his feet in my ribs.

AND I think we might be getting closer to deciding on a middle name for our littlest sir.

The third trimester and bedroom flooring!

He's head down and pushing his feet up and out under my rib cage!
Hence, the funny square-looking belly!

Guess who is 27 weeks?
This lady!

I cannot believe that we're officially entering the 3rd trimester.
It seems like just yesterday we decided to try for our last baby-
and I knew from having Jackson that once you already have a child, the pregnancies fly by!

When I was pregnant with Keelin, I am pretty sure I was pregnant forever- but Jackson's pregnancy flew. And this one? It feels like it's going to be over all too soon :(

Can't wait to meet Finn, but I adore being pregnant.
It will be so bittersweet to kiss my days of carrying babies goodbye!

We had our new bedroom floor installed this weekend. I can now get our furniture put in there (it has been sitting in a corner of our living room) and unleash my organizational skills!

Tim has been home for a couple of days, but leaves for another business trip in the morning. I am trying to keep from being sad about it- we are incredibly blessed that he has such an amazing job that he enjoys- but maybe it's the hormones... I just feel like the couple of days we've had together isn't enough.

We went to a couple of yard sales today- and I bought an antique, blue Mason jar for $0.25! The lady asked me if I particularly liked Mason jars and I told her yes!! She ran into her house and brought out a bag with 7 more in it and told me to just take them home with me and enjoy them. What a sweet soul! It absolutely made my day!

26 weeks pregnant!

Well, it seems that we're barreling into the home stretch!
I cannot believe that my due date is in 97 days.
Pretty sure I found out I was pregnant yesterday!

I've gained 14lbs.
I feel absolutely amazing!
I've purchased a fantastic bikini to wear to the beach
(if and when my hubs can get any time off work!)
:)
It looks like we'll be going at the end of June!
But knowing his travel schedule, anything can change.

I do love that I'm carrying him so high- compared to the first two, where I felt like I was carrying around a bowling ball in my pelvis the entire time! This is much more comfortable!
OH- and I love that I can wear my pre-baby shorts.
Hurray for low-rise waistbands, y'all!
If I carried Finn like Keelin or Jackson, that would be impossible to do!

It's the small things that make a preggo smile!

Learning!

Yesterday, we prepared for the storm.
Today, it was icky outside.
We took it as a perfect opportunity for a little learning!

Keelin and Tim practiced tying her shoes!
She practiced using the awesome shoes her paternal grandmother, her Mimi, customized for her with Sharpies! Dawn is just too darn creative... great lady!

There she goes!

Very serious!

And guess what? Our Doodle did it!
Keelin tied her shoes!! :)

My best friend of 20 years, sister of my heart, threw her daughter (my now 7 year old niece) an awesome birthday party at a rollerskating rink today! Perfect for how icky it was outside!

I got ballsy and rented Jackson the TEENIEST pair of skates I have ever seen!
(The boy wears a size 6 in toddler shoes- haha!)
There was a lot of booty meeting the floor, but by the end of the morning, both kids were rolling around independently!! Not necessarily skating, but definitely rolling around without ending up in the floor!

This is just so sweet, it makes me Mommy mush.
I love what a great dad Tim is.
I love what a great big sister and daughter Keelin is.
I love that Jackson thinks his sister and dad are the COOLEST people on the planet.
Because, of course, they are!

I, clearly, didn't skate. But I did get to spend a lot of time holding sweet little hands and picking little selves up off of the floor! Loved it!

Halfway there!!

Today, I'm 20 weeks pregnant with my last baby.
How can this be??
It feels like we got the positive pregnancy test yesterday!

Baby Finn is an active little guy, lots of rolling, not a lot of kicking.
I'm starting to poke out a bit more!
Definitely enjoying carrying him high...
I can still wear a couple of my non-preggo jeans and a lot of my shirts!

In this picture, I'm wearing a pair of Lucky Brand (maternity) Jeans that I snagged at a consignment for $10.
I love that they don't look like maternity jeans.
I'm not an old fuddy duddy (I don't think, anyway!)- I'm only 24!
I think it will be fun when I have a bigger belly!

Just can't believe that this is the last time I'll be counting the weeks up to delivery,
feeling a little one rolling around, getting big and ENJOYING it...
It's bittersweet!

18 weeks and 1 day

Lilypie Maternity tickers

So, I popped my due date into this little thing-a-ma-jigger and it told me that I am more than 18 weeks pregnant. Uh. No. Could I possibly be almost halfway through this pregnancy?! No way!!

*sigh*

Denial won't change it. This pregnancy is getting away from me. I swore I'd enjoy every minute of it- and I am, so why is it going by so quickly?!

I have his newborn cloth diapers ready, I have some little newborn wool sleep cocoons (will post pictures next week when the custom I ordered gets here), some little teeny clothes that I'm planning to dye when I dye his prefolds all sorts of beautiful colors.

Basically? This baby boy could make his grand entrance tomorrow and have everything he needs, except for a carseat! But of course, he needs to stay in for another 22 weeks- which gives me that much longer to obsess about it. And the nesting hasn't even kicked in yet. I am in such trouble... even though I'm totally going the handmade, minimalistic route with this little boy's items!

18 weeks and 1 day with baby #3

I think I popped a bit since my last picture! :)

A trying evening...

I buckled up the kids and drove 45 minutes to pick up some chicks tonight. The guy wasn't home. What. The. Heck? I called. Knocked. Nothin'. Dude knew I was coming. Well, there was a place about 15 minutes down the road that supposedly had the same breed I was looking for, so I drove there. It was about an hour before they closed, supposedly. Closed. Dark. Locked. Nothin'. At this point, I'm thinking- "Seriously, people? You consider yourselves businessmen?!"

So, after two hours of nonstop driving and nonstop disappointment, I took home two heartbroken kids and no chicks. We stopped and split a milkshake, but it didn't help. By this point, they were exhausted, sad, and my composure was slowly but surely fading.

Oh, and lest we forget- I'm 17 1/2 weeks pregnant. So, yes, I cried the whole way home with the kids.

I didn't care about not getting the chicks (I'll get them eventually), I didn't overreact to the kids being upset (They're 4 and 2, it happens, they'll be okay), but I had just had it.

Then my sweet Keelin reminded me that our night could have been much worse. I asked her how she thought it could have been worse. She said, "We might have seen a rabbit get eaten by a lion- and that would have been bad." Yep, Keelin, that would have been bad. Shaking off the annoyance, crawling into bed, and reading a book. Goodnight :)

Pregnant Pizza

Last night, Tim and I got a pizza from a little place a few miles away. Tim told me that since I was the pregnant one and my birthday is Sunday, I could order whatever I wanted.

*ca-ching!*

I ordered an extra large pizza with pepperoni, mushroom, black olives, and pineapple. We dubbed it my Pregnant Pizza. It was bliss!

Well, it was until I had to barf later. When is this mess going to end? I'm almost 15 weeks pregnant. I'd really like to feel better soon! Puh-lease?
