In this picture, you can see some of the trees that blew down in the nasty storms we've had lately AND one of my teeny new peach trees!
This is a teeny part of the crazy mint patch we have growing beside our house!
We're putting it in our sweetened black tea, have made jelly with it (post to come this week on that adventure!), and looking for more recipes!
I'm very excited to have this resource available to me!

Mojitos! hahaha, sike, but if I weren't pregnant...
That reminds me of my first beach trip with Tim, right before we got married...
It involved the beach in January, a big gulp cup (32oz) filled with the most insane amount of mojito, my husband, his friends, an indoor lazy river, some attempted surfing, and Tim ending up laying on the ground covered in inner tubes.
Yeah.

Fun stuff! I'm excited about the dandelions actually, lol. I want to make jelly and use the greens for smoothies. Tempted to dry some root, but we'll see...

I absolutely love mint with strawberries!! and definitely in black tea and fresh lemon- oh gracious- its one of the most delicious drinks ever. <3 I may need to come pick some lady!!
Tia, don't tell ANYONE else in NC ;) but I don't like lemon in my tea! I know it makes me a bit of a freak of southern nature, but anything but lemon is fine by me!
And please do come by sometime with the kids. Keelin and Jackson would love to have them and we have more mint than you can carry!

If you let me know what day you're interested in coming, I'll dig up some mint for you to take home with you and plant. It's so hardy, Dad used to run over it with the lawnmower and it would still grow back just as thick as anything! haha
Oh I'm glad it tastes good! That's what HUbby was asking "Is it even going to taste good?" um... dunno but it sounds like fun, lol.
It has a super mild flavor. Sweet and flowery like honey, but not overpowering. I'm posting, probably tonight, about the recipe I used with pictures and such!
Man, I hope I get the motivation to have a garden this year!
