The Great Cloth Diaper Change!

My friend Dana  and I decided to go to The Great Cloth Diaper Change!
We drove to a location about an hour away and were two of the 31 parent/kid diaper changers there!

It was a TON of mommies worldwide setting a Guiness Book of World Records record for the most cloth diapers changed at one time! Cool, huh?

Jackson and Leeland, Dana's son
I was keeping Jackson occupied with stickers!

Little Leeland and Dana
The 4 of us!

Dana snapped a quick photo of me starting to change Jackson's diaper to help set a world record!
Thank you, Dana!

Happy Jackson!

Playing Peek-a-Boo so he wouldn't feel the need to find entertainment.

There were a bunch of really rowdy kids, so after one knocked Jackson down, I tried to keep him a bit closer to me. I knew that if that kiddo knocked Jackson down again, I would have had a word with his mom- and I wasn't in the mood to have to lay the smackdown! ;) haha

Jackson post-Peek-a-Boo.
Nice hair, dude.

The 4 of us again!
I just love my little boy, sticker face and all!

Keelin really wanted to go, but she spent the day with her dad, instead.
I was bored out of my mind before it started, so I know she would have been miserable!

Post-change! Jackson and his world record holding tush!

Since we were two of the first 25 people to arrive (we got there first- woo!), we got awesome swag bags! This is the logo on the outside of my reusable shopping bag.

5, yes 5, samples of Rockin Green, my favorite!
It's the only thing I use on our fluff and I LOVE it!
Forgot to rotate this one... two samples of Country Save detergent and a sample of Eco-Sprout detergent!

Wipe cubes and coffee scented kitchen soap samples.
Not sure how I feel about coffee scented soap :)
haha

The event was sponsored by Sweetbottoms Boutique and we really appreciated their sponsorship!
It was a great experience and we can't wait to get his certificate of participation!

My friend Dana has a blog called A Look Into The Kroh's Nest, so check her out and enjoy her beautiful blog!

That is really cool, all those cloth diaper mamas together, AND to set a world record.

I think I am going to give Rockin Green a try when it comes time to wash cloth diapers again.

Samantha, it was really neat! I'm so glad we went! Rockin Green is what I switched to after Charlie's started blistering Jackson's bum. It caused a lot of buildup in our diapers, so I took the plunge and ordered some RnG and have been using it now for about two years. A bag lasts forever! :)

Oo, I know what you mean with the rowdy kids, I keep Lilia close around groups of kids for the same reason. I can't figure out why parents let their kids do that? I try to give the benefit of the doubt and assume they just have extra exhausted mamas but still...

I went to my local one too. It was cool and i got a gift certificate to a natural food store and 2 snappies. I always lose my snappies.

My son was the rowdy kid. I watched him and don't let him get away with it but it happens so fast I couldn't prevent it all the time when he was in that stage. It is so embarrassing but it can be normal for some toddlers. We seem to be through it thankfully except for sibling rivalry

Kory, the mom of the child that trampled Jackson was busy oohing and aaahing over what looked to be her new baby girl, I'd guess 2-3 months old? And her boys were acting like wild children!

Diana, How cool! I won a beautiful one size all in two diaper in the raffle. I'd have taken a picture of it, but it was prepping in the wash!

I always lose my Snappis, too. I have 5 and only know where 1 is, at the moment!

My little guy is very much a busy kiddo who has accidently hurt other kids, especially tackle-hugging them. The kids I was referring to were bigger than my 5yr old, I would guess 6 or 7 years old- and solid , big boys, too. If it were a little kid, I'd have written it off, but these kids were way too big to be running around knocking over 2yr olds :)

Hey that's me!!! lol. I had fun friend and was happy that I didn't have to sit with the rowdy children by myself. I still can't believe we helped set a WORLD RECORD! So neat, I can't wait to tell Leeland all about it when he's older.

It was so much fun, Dana! And I think Jackson enjoyed having Leeland around as much as I enjoyed hanging out with you Saturday! They were so hilarious talking to each other in the backseat!

Aw, well at least she had a decent excuse ;) Yeah it's the big kids that bother me too, I had a couple boys (5 & 8 maybe?) bowling her over at the children's museum when she was barely walking and I saw their mom watching... rgh, lol.
